CROQUIS FRIDAY

When last did I do croquis Friday!!
Well yeyyyy, it's Friyyyayyyyy!! I love Friday's just like a lot of people out there, since it is the beginning of a weekend, yea!
Unfortunately the weekend always goes by so quick!! I wish weekends have seven days while weekdays have 5days!! Who wishes so too!
Okay, I have a file of drawings!!! Plenty of them and definitely I have improved since the last time I posted, hopefully I could post more on Croquis Fridays so you get to see more and most importantly so I can have a go-to soft copy any time any day!!
Okay now, what I want to learn is how to brush up my work to look so clean in soft copies, anyone has any ideas on photoshop??
LIKE THIS ⤵️

You can see how clean and smooth they look, hand drawn and further editted but not to the extent of relieving them of their natural state. I'm I  the only one interested in having the two dresses in the second pic?? They are absolutely gorg!!

For this week, I will post my own works and even still get to feature a talented fashion illustrator.

To be featured this week is THEKAIRAWORLD.  I have personally checked all her pictures on instagram and it is worth the data and the time. I love her works and also because she is a fellow Nigerian! you go sister!
`
Can you see the Afican Print fabric, it is a popular one over here and the illustration of it is perfect

I love Kiara'S works as it is! Clear, good image quality, depicts the African Style and it is truly lovely.
And you see that shadow of a thing I truly want to do it on my illustrations too, I jus cant wrap my head around what photoshop offers all this effects! I REEEEAAALLYYY want it.

ALRIGHT, SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!!!

IS IT REALLY ABOUT BEING OUTSPOKEN

Hey everyone, Hope we are all getting ready for the weekend because i know I am getting super ready.
I just went through my friends blog and one blog post there relates to me on another level.
I have heard all sort of things about how outspoken make it in life and i mean in every industry there is to think of.
Hearing it too much has made me doubt myself of ever becoming who I want to be. I'm a serious introvert, and not just introvert, I find it hard talking too, socializing or even able to survive in  a crowd. But i would make do if i have no choice whatsoever.
Through my short journey on earth, I have watched the outspoken, bold people get nearly everything, they get easily noticed, commended or are even believed to be smart and all rounded.
Now where does that leave me?
It's like to become successful I have to become who I am not or else I won't make any impact.
In this path I have chosen for myself, I've realized how dangerous it is, I have to be outspoken, competitive and you know all those obvious features there is. While on the other hand, any form of attention gets me so flustered and embarrassed. People see my works and expect I should just go out there, be outspoken, and just show off what I do; but deep down it doesn't just work that way because I am really not that kind of person.
I want to do well, succeed as a fashion designer but it seems there are really no opportunities for people like me, I'm left to change, adapt, cope in order to make any impact or to remain in my little small corner.
I write too, at least little stories here and there, and that is one of my medium of communicating and that is the same with drawing.
Anyway, below is the sweet write up of my friend, I really had not planned to post but when i saw it I knew I just had to.

My power isn’t in how I speak,
My strength is in solemnity and thought.
My true self is not found with people,
Its with a pen, a paper and my mind.
We live in a world that values the man of action,
More than the man of contemplation.
A speaking mouth,
More than a thinking mind.
I wanna be great but how can I be when who I am is not acceptable?
But I don’t want to be acceptable,
I want to be outstanding.
My personality will not be my hurdle,
But the reason I fight through and break forth.

Yeah, that is pretty much how I feel too, I think more, feel more than I allow myself to express. Oh well, in the world of today I either adapt or seize to exist.
Well, that should not stop me from posting a lil sketch of mine

This is just a fashion drawing i did for a bride crush... this lil art do no justice to how beautiful she actually looked on her big day

Croquis Fridays

Yeah!!! I waited seven days for a chance to muse about Croquis.
It is here now. I spend a lot of time training so I could do my Croquis better.  Not a  lot literally, but the few times I have to sketch I do so happily, having in mind to train and get better
I have just one thing to say to everyone who has a passion,  a dream or a talent to showcase... Please follow it, pursue it no matter what anyone says to you. I have been talked down one too many times which only made me a slave to pessimism.  You might not be the best out there, but faithfulness to the things you love is enough, don't give up on anything you believe you can do...no matter what.
So here is a few pics of my own fashion illustrations;  I really wish I could render them!!
Designed for a client

This is designed my great ambassador Grace

Now the three above are my own illustrations, sorry for the poor quality of the image, I only wish I could render just like my role model below.
I am featuring her work this week. Her brand name is STYLETEMPLE...One of Nigeria's very best fashion designer. I found her page on instagram. She motivates me with all her poise, creativity and talent. She is a couturier, I guess she is based in the north. Her work is toooo amazing, I am in awe.
From sketch to reality by style temple

See how rendering an illustration could bring a whole different kind of beauty. I love her renderings because they are not only on paper they come to live. To view more of her illustrations you can follow her on instagram @style temple.
Have a lovely day ahead and see you next Friday
